About Us

Assorted Yarns

When I (Cynthia) was a young girl, I saw a weaver at a state park, and I was mesmerized. I have always been interested in the art of weaving, and in 2008, my interest became a full blown hobby and passion. I have had the opportunity to participate in numerous weaving demonstrations which has shown me how much I love watching the joy on both children and adults' faces as they learn about textiles. And now, I am thrilled to create a space for people to gather, learn, and create beautiful textiles together.

Sunshine Weaving and Fiber Arts was born from the idea to have fiber arts supplies and equipment on a website that is easy to navigate and easy to shop. We want fiber artists who are complete beginners to the experienced to have access to the supplies and equipment needed to create beautiful fiber art. We also provide classes to cultivate a love of fiber arts in both children and adults.

The name of the shop came to me one cold, dreary day in March 2020, at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. My thought was that we all need sunshine in our lives, (which to me translates to having some happiness), and Sunshine Weaving and Fiber Arts was created.

Our goal at Sunshine Weaving and Fiber Arts is to provide the materials, education, and community to meet our customer's needs. I hope to meet you soon!
